Favourites of the Summer

Favourites of the Summer

These are some of the things I have been loving this summer so I thought as summer is coming to an end :( I would do this post.

1) Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash - After weeks of searching for some oil free face wash I finally found Neutrogena. Before buying this I had never used Neutrogena before but it will certainly be a re-purchase. Just to let you know, I have the worse skin in the world and this stuff is amazing my skin in now clear after using this for 6 weeks, so I mean if it clears up mine I'm sure it will work on anyones. I would recommend this if your skin is very oily (like mine) because it works wonders.

2) Naked 2 palette from Urban Decay - As you know I brought this palette in America and it is literally the greatest thing I have ever brought, I love it so much. The colours are amazing the brush is amazing, everyone needs to buy this.

3) Yves Saint Laurent Luxurious Mascara For A False Lash Effect - Is it normal to spend £24 on a mascara?? probably not but it's Yves Saint Laurent so who cares. I got this mascara ages ago but I absolutely love it, I personally think it's one of VSL's best mascara as they have been a bit hit and miss recently. If you're willing to pay this much for a mascara then I would definitely recommend getting it.

4) Natural Collection Body Spray - I love these body sprays so much they are absolutely amazing, they smell wonderful and last for ages. These bottles are only £2 and I think they are an absolute steal everyone needs one of these and they won't break your bank balance.

5) Miss Selfridge Petites Denim Pinafore Dress - I actually brought this just before the summer and I love it so much, I've worn it on so many occasions. I sometimes think that Miss Selfridge can be a bit expensive but I managed to get this for £20 as it was the last one in the shop. (shocker there is never anything usually in my size) Pinafores have been a massive hit for the spring/summer trend and i'm so thankful for that because I love it.

6) Urban Outfitters denim skirt - I also brought this in America as I stated on a previous post and I'm unsure of how much this costs in pounds but it was $50... so if anyone can work that out? I do think Urban Outfitters is overly expensive but their clothes are lovely so i'll let them off. I wouldn't usually spend this much on a skirt but I though hey-ho I'm on holiday lets go all out. If you have the money to spend then I would say go get it as it's one of my favourite pieces.

7) Collection concealer - Before I confuse anyone Collection has changed their name removing the '2000' so now it's just Collection. This is my most used beauty product ever (other than my mac foundation) it's literally the best concealer out there. It's very cheap at just over £4 (i can't remember the actual price) it has the best coverage of any concealer I have used, high street and high end. It covers up redness, dark circles and scars and you get a lot of product so it's a winner all round.

Holiday post!

Sunday, 18 August 2013
Hello ya'll I've returned from my holiday in Florida which was absolutely amazing. I am currently in a post holiday depression state, anyhow this is kind of going to be about anything and everything about my holiday.

Okay so the idea of going to Florida was to go to all the parks it was my second time going I first went in 2009. The parks were absolutely amazing and everybody was so lovely I love all you Americans. The people their make you feel great and they are always smiling. I think my favourite Disney park was Magic Kingdom it's just every 5 year olds dream. I am the person that loves all the rollercoasters and they are amazing in Florida although very scary. Other than the parks we also went swimming with dolphins which was absolutely amazing but I sadly don't have any pictures because they're all printed:(

(yes this is me at the front)

The food was wow...literally every night we went out for a meal and I did not realize how big their portions were it was like actually ridiculous and they also have a lack of vegetarian foods which was kinda annoying although I still managed to gain loads of weight... oops. My favourite restaurant was the Hard Rock cafe the scenery in their was unbelievable, also the waiter was seriously hot and kept flirting (it was very embarrassing/awkward with my parents) Moving on enjoy me eating a veggie burger at Hard Rock.
(this is very attractive)

Now onto the main part... shopping. We didn't really do that much but I wasn't that bothered I had $200 dollars to spend so I brought a few things plus Disney merchandise. The two main things I wanted to get in America was the Naked 2 palette and Nars blush... and guess what?? I brought them both. My next post will be a review on both of them, but all I will say is that they are amazing. Away from the make up I brought two items of clothes. I brought a denim skirt from Urban Outfitters, I don't live anywhere near an Urban Outfitters at home (the nearest one is an hour away) so I was like yeah lets do this.

I love this skirt so much although i'm not entirely sure when I'm going to be able to wear it over here because the weather is awful and it's too cold to go out in something this short the majority of the time. I also went into American Apparel and I swear it was as though I stepped into heaven everything was so nice... and expensive. I brought a pair of easy jeans and they are so comfy it's actually unreal.

These are the exact ones I brought although they weren't in the colour I wanted because they had literally sold out in my size in nearly every colour (waaah) but I still love them and I think they are amazing. I wanted to buy everything in this damn shop but limited money left walking out with only one item.

Back to the parks and we went to both of the Universal's and when I went to Islands of Adventure I think I died and went to heaven. Ever since I can remember I have been a massive Harry Potter nerd and I was literally in my element at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It was the most amazing/magical experience ever. It was so good also because we eat at the restaurant their called the Three Broomsticks and it was literally like Hogwarts. They kept the theme as well with the majority of the people working their being English.

Incase you hadn't noticed it was very sunny (hence the squinting)

So that's a quick summary of my holiday, if you haven't been I would advise you to go Florida it's so cheap compared to the UK. Also my highlight of the holiday would have to be sprinting through Atlanta airport because our previous plane was delayed therefore nearly missing the plane back to England... or not.

Anyway hope you enjoyed this!

No posts from the 1st-18th August

Okay so I'm guessing that you have already realised that i'm going on holiday next week to... America hence the theme. I will be gone for just over 2 weeks so I won't be posting while I'm away, however when I get back I will probably do a few posts on what I wore during the day and during the evening.

Now it's my third time going to America I've been New York and Florida before. I am visiting Florida again yay the last time I went to Florida I was 12 and didn't have a clue about fashion. This year I plan on doing some major shopping I plan on buying the Naked 2 palette by Urban Decay, Nars blush and Mac lipsticks (they are so cheap). I also want to do some clothes shopping now I know American Apparel is a must and Forever 21 is usually pretty good (although it does remind me of Primark). I was wondering what are everybodies go to stores when they are in America? Just remember I'm in Florida and not NY or California so it's not massive for Shopping. Although I am going Miami for one day, has anyone been please tell me what it's like?

On another note after just a month of starting this blog I'm now over 1000 views, thank you so much it means the world to me x x

My day trip to Exeter...

Sunday, 7 July 2013
Okay so yesterday I went on the train to Exeter which is about an hour from where I live in Plymouth. I needed some clothes to take to Florida with me so I did a spot of shopping. I was actually really disappointed by the lack of nice clothes in Topshop & River Island. I thought the clothing would be a lot better than what it is in Plymouth because of how small Plymouth is. Anyway I managed to buy some clothes.

So I managed to buy clothes in Topshop, Republic, Miss Selfridge and Primark.

Can I just say that my black bikini from Topshop is my main love right now and i'll be wearing it to the beach tomorrow. I wanted a high waisted one because although i'm quite skinny I have absolutely no confidence when it comes to my body so I wanted something that would look nice.

I got my pinafore from Miss Selfridge and I've been looking for a pinafore for so many months now and I got it for £18. It was the last one left in the shop and it was a size 10 and it's really big on me i'm like a size 6/8 but hopefully I can do some measurements to it and make it fit better. But I thought £18 from Miss Selfridge was an absolute steal.

The other thing i'm going to mention are my flatforms from Primark. I really wanted to buy them from Topshop but I don't have much money and I needed other things so I bought them from Primark, even though I hate the store so much. These shoes were so much higher than I thought they would be. However they are really easy to walk in so that is a bonus.

Here is my outfit from today. My crop top is from Topshop, my jeans are from New Look and I had juju jellies on which are in a cyan/turquoise colour.

Turquoise is my summer colour and I am in love with it I swear half of my wardrobe is that colour.
Another thing to add as i'm going Florida i'm not too sure what to wear in the evenings I'm thinking a smart skirt and top with some heels. What does everyone think?

Until next time

Flatform Sandals

Wednesday, 3 July 2013
Flatform Sandals are the shoes of the summer. Everywhere you look someone is selling them from Topshop to Primark. People can't get enough of these shoes this summer. Whether they're in black, white or multi coloured everybody needs a pair. Here are my top 5...

1) Hanna Platform Sandals £32

Topshop is the place to be with any summer shoes this year. I love these shoes because they look classy and because they're white they will go with nearly everything. These shoes can easily be dressed up or down. For a day look add a pair of Topshop frilly socks because the socks and sandals rule has been totally thrown out of the book here. Or keep it simple and wear with a dress. These are perfect for your holiday on a summery evening.

2) Highjump Clean Flatform Sandal £32

I did say that Topshop had the best shoes this summer. Although the same price these are completely different to the last pair. The Highjump Flatform has a more edgy look with some added colour which will definitely add some definition to your outfit. These shoes also have a higher wedge which would give you some extra height which is defiantly a bonus when you're my height. They would be perfect for a day of shopping, add some MOTO shorts and a crop top and everybody will be staring at you for all the right reasons.

3) Gabca Strappy Flatform Sandals In Black £26.99

I must admit I'm not MissGuided's biggest fan I personally am not a fan of a lot of their clothes or prices. However these shoes may have changed my mind. These shoes come in both black and white, I like these shoes because they are simple yet classy. They're very similar to the gladiator sandal but with the soles of creepers, therefore giving you a solid sole and something you won't slip over in. However in this design I prefer the black to the white because of how the pattern on the top with black would go with anything.

4) Mr Shoes Women's Sporty Flatform Wedged Sandals £23.99

Lets just start with this colour, if this isn't bold then I don't know what is! Coincidentally this is the colour of the majority of my summer wardrobe because I absolute love it. I know this colour isn't everybodies cuppa tea but I think I can persuade everyone into buying these however these shoes do come in three more colours. The height of the buckle is amazing on these shoes as it comes up past your ankle so there won't be too much happening on your feet to worry about. With the buckle being so high these are a lot easier to dress up, a white maxi skirt would be the perfect combination with these shoes.

5) ASOS Humble Flatform COBALT BLUE Wedges Shoes Sandal £12.99

It's very unlike me to pick things out I like from eBay because to me it always feels like a junk sale, however a lot of bloggers have said how eBay seem to have a lot of Flatform's so I decided to take a look. They weren't exaggerating when they said a lot, because they're hundreds  I picked out these because they were a little cheaper and a little different and if you know me you know that I love a good bargain. These shoes are available in black as well as blue but these shoes are very similar to Topshop's however the material is different with these being made from fake suede. These shoes look fantastic and something that anybody can easily rock for the casual look however I think they would go perfect with a pair of denim shorts.

If there are any pieces of clothing that you would like me to cover please let me know.

Until next time

Motel Rocks favourites

Friday, 14 June 2013
Motel Rocks is hands down my favourite online store. The clothing is amazing and you can always get 20% off with so many bloggers having the discount card. Also if you have a student discount card you can also use that. Motel Rocks is sold on a couple of other websites as well if you want some of their old stock loveclothing has it all for very good prices. I like Motel because I think their clothing is simple and classy they don't over complicate. If I had my own way I would buy everything on this website (but i'd also be broke) so here are my 5 favourite pieces from their collection.

1. Motel Molly Long Sleeve Playsuit in Blue Paisley Print £45

This pattern is by far my favourite from Motel it's light and feels very summery. This pattern also has a kind of vintage feel to it with the pastel blue and white print. This pattern is very popular with Motel with co-ordinates and dresses in this same pattern. This could easily be worn with a pair of heels for a night out and this chic playsuit is most definitely a hit for the summer.

2. Motel Fonda Halterneck Crop in Pegasus Print £18

Oh how I feel like i'm back in the 90s (well I would if I were old enough to remember them) this Pegasus Print from Motel is very popular because of it's colours it stands out and grabs your attention. The halterneck crop is absolutely gorgeous and i'm so happy these have come back they are perfect for a summer's day. Put  this with any kind of high waisted shorts and you already have your perfect outfit. This top is a bold statement so make sure you don't wear anything that can take the focus away from this truly stunning top.

3. Motel New Zoe Bodycon Dress in Aztec Pastel Print £28

This dress reminds me of Geri Halliwell's union jack dress. I do love the aztec print on this again this is a print which is very popular, probably the most popular of all the prints this summer. I love this because it's so bright and basically just screams summer. This dress can be dressed down with a pair of flip flops for the beach or dressed up with a pair of heels for a night out. You can wear this dress to your hearts content this summer.

4. Motel Jodie Skinny Crop Pant in Pink Palm Leaf Print £38

If you had to describe perfection in a pair of trousers you would definitely be describing these. These are by far my favourite trousers. (and if i had more money i would be investing in these) These cropped trousers have a bit of everything that is in. They're skinny, detailed, bright I couldn't think of nothing more anybody could want in a pair of trousers. Pair these with a bralet and high heels and you're all ready to go.

5. Motel Marble Hot Pants in Grey Sequin £42

If you walk down the street wearing these you will most certainly be turning a few heads. These gorgeous sparkly hot pants are a fashion statement. When going on holiday and not wanting to get too hot while partying these are the pair to wear. These unique hot pants will make sure that you're centre of attention. Pair with a crop top and heels and you have the perfect party look.

River Island Summer Favourites

Tuesday, 11 June 2013
River Island has been one of my favourite shops for such a long time and with the introduction of the Rihanna line they are becoming more and more popular. River Island are incredibly affordable with prices never breaking your bank. Here's my favourites from them at the moment.

1. Grey washed floral skater skirt £18

I think this skirt is so so pretty and it has such a nice summery feel to it. Yet another year where all we seem to be talking about is floral patterns and I absolutely adore them I think they are amazing with the amount of variety of colours and styles. I have fallen a victim to skater skirts I absolutely adore them I own two which are worn in the winter, I feel as though they make you feel cute and girly and are amazing for girl who have tiny waists because it is such a flattery piece of clothing.

2. Coral textured bralet and skater skirt £38

It's official I have an obsession with Co-ordinates. I absolutely love this it might possibly my favourite. The colour is absolutely gorgeous for the summer. I love the bralet on this so much more than the crop top however if you were wanting to go for a casual look then the crop top would be much better suited. At the price of £38 this is an absolute steal. Just remember to pair it with a pair of black heels and you're all ready for your big night out.

3.Pink embellished sleeveless flapper dress £55

I feel as though I have been waiting my whole life for a dress like this. There is nothing I don't like about this dress. The colour is yet again a shade of pink- River Island do love their pinks. It's a classic dress which would go brilliantly with a pair a wedges for an evening meal. With bead embellishment in elegant scalloped panels it will most certainly make you stand out from the crowd. The dress suits anyone of any size so it will be flattering for all of you.

4. Pink chevron print bustier and high waisted shorts £28

This is from Rihanna's limited edition line. Everything needs to be high waisted and how about a high waisted bikini. High waisting is so flattering for someone of every size and this bikini proves why. The colour and pattern on this bikini is unusual and stylish. It has a mixture of my two favourite colours for this season, like pink and light blue. With a removable halter neck strap you don't need to worry about losing your bikini while going down the rides.

5. Bright coral rib cropped vest £6

I'm definitely not one for simple but this piece of clothing I can make an exception for. Everybody needs a cute vest for summer and with it being cropped it's super stylish. The low back on this top will make it go perfect with a skater skirt. The crop gives you a nice 90's feel to it and it's only £6 which is an absolute bargain.

Until next time
